At the end of April, Jaclyn, Joey, Nickolas & I met in Guthrie, Kentucky for a family session. I was thrilled to meet them, because Jaclyn & Joey were the 2nd prize winner in my Valentine’s contest back in February. (They received 50% off of their session fee!) Before that, Jaclyn and I had been e-mailing about a session and I suggested she enter my contest. I am so glad she did! She was super excited about the session; probably as much, if not more, than I was! (And if you’ve been on a photo shoot with me, you know I am very excited and enthusiastic when photographing! I truly love what I do!)
Jaclyn’s excitement, along with Joey & Nickolas’ laid back attitude really made this session a success. We talked a lot about the location and she wanted to include trains somehow since Nickolas is a huge fan of trains. Not only does downtown Guthrie have trains sitting around, but it’s also kind of secluded, so no one was watching or in the way. :) I had such a nice time exploring Guthrie and getting to know this family. Thank you, Jaclyn, Joey & Nickolas! It was a joy to work with you and I hope you love these images as much as I do! :)
A train passed by when I snapped this one. I love Nickolas’ wonder! And Jaclyn & Joey’s expressions. :)

I’m pretty sure I had Nickolas’ toy truck on my head and he was grinning at my silliness. :)

Big smile!

Yah for abandon train cars!

I’m a big fan of this one:

I don’t know what he’s pointing at in this next one but it really made him happy!

I don’t know if these two realized I got this sweet picture.

Okay, see Nickolas to the left in this photo? Well, while we were taking this photo and the above photo, he picked all of the flowers in there for us! Only kids can get away with that! If I tried that, someone would probably arrest me for it! haha! I loved it though!

They are high school sweethearts. :)

One more of Nickolas filling an empty water bottle with rocks. This entertained him almost as much as the trains did. Almost. :)

Have a goodnight!
Bethany
