Jana & Taylor were cool, calm & collected today. And oh-so-beautiful. I am so happy they asked me to document their wedding. I had so much fun at their engagement session, that I knew I would have a blast at their wedding. I had trouble narrowing down this teaser post, but that just means you will see even more when I post their full wedding day blog! :) No more talking, because it is photo time!

I adore this shot:

And this:

Jana & Taylor decided to have a first look, where they see each other before the ceremony and get all the photos out of the way. It is such a good idea and makes the day flow better! I love this one from their first look:

Tomorrow is the first day of my last semester in college. I am extremely anxious about it, and I have no idea why. I’ve had how many first days of school now? (Seriously, how many, Mom? I’m too tired to count right now! hehe) Anyway, this summer has been one busy summer. I feel like summer hasn’t even begun yet. (Well, minus the obvious signs of heat we had in June & July.) I’ve been on the go, and by the looks of it, that won’t stop until the first of November. Crazy talk! :) Anyway, I am excited to get the first day over with since this is my last semester. If I pass all my classes, that is! I can finally see the end of the school phase in my life, since I highly doubt I will ever go back for another degree. It feels… odd. Don’t get me wrong, I do not like homework at all, but, I know that I will never get this time back in my life. The fact that I’m going through my last semester while photographing portrait sessions & weddings, and planning my wedding is probably insane, but I asked for it. :) I really need to slow down and remember to enjoy each day as it happens.
Like today. I am so fortunate to create images that freeze a certain time in a family’s life. Chelsea & Jacob welcomed baby Nora Jo into this world 18 days ago. She is a little beauty with striking eyes and dark brown hair. While photographing sweet Nora Jo & her parents, I felt so overwhelmed with love and gratitude. They are so in love with sweet Nora Jo, and I felt very grateful to be a witness to it. Days like today are so precious and I feel blessed that I was able to capture this time in Chelsea, Jacob & Nora Jo’s lives. :)
A long preview of our afternoon together:

I love the blue & pink bedding against Nora Jo’s white dress. :)

And this is one of my absolute favorites so far. I took this at the beginning of the session but wanted to wait until the end of this teaser post to share it because I love it that much:

Have a goodnight everyone!
