No, this post is not about the University of Kentucky Basketball player, DeMarcus Cousins who happens to wear my favorite number, 15, and who I’m going to see play this Saturday against my university. (I’m excited about it! Go CATS!) No, this is about actual cousins. And I’m just as excited about finally posting these. I think this is such a great idea to take pictures of cousins together. I wish I had more pictures made of my cousins and me when we were younger. We are all so grown up now. Weird!

Sarah, Catie, Trey & Ryder were so fun to work with! They have the spunk I wish I still had. Catie’s mom Lynn was referred to me by Kim and she wanted to take these pictures of Catie & her cousins as gifts for Christmas. So, shhh! Don’t tell their families if you know these adorable kids. We met at their family farm to take these images and I adored the white shirts, the blue jeans, the leaves, the sky, the warm day, the four kids and the tire swing. :)

I am half way through editing my Smoky Mountain pictures and I am happy to post more! Here are my cousin’s Jaxson and Hallie. These two are my cousin Mandy and her husband Brad’s youngest kids. Kaylee is the oldest. ShaRee, Mandy and Valerie are sisters. So yes, that would mean that Valerie became an aunt at a very young age! (I think she was three!)

I found some of my old high school photos a few nights ago and it made me remember some fun times, bad times, happy times, and sad times. I just love that nostalgic feeling! I forgot about a lot of those photos but after revisiting them, I often times remembered the exact days those photos were taken, what was going on in my life, and what matters I thought were “important” at the time. (It’s funny how our perspective changes over the years.) Looking back at those photos made me realize that one day I will look back on all the photos from my Smoky Mountain vacation with my family and remember all the fun memories we made. Like riding go-carts in the pouring rain, or playing Apples to Apples until 2:30 in the morning, or relaxing in the “hot pool” as my younger cousins liked to call the hot tub.

Below are pictures of my nephew Kody, my cousin Valerie, and my cousin Kaylee. I’ll post pictures of my other cousins, Jaxson and Hallie, soon. Also, I have more formal and fun non-formal pictures I want to share so there might be two or three more posts from our Smoky Mountain adventure! :)
